Homework and Assignments

Lately I have been struggling with the amount of homework and assignments I've been receiving lately. Last term, I received an assignment for SOSE which, I think, counts for half of my marks for the semester. I went in a pair with a buddy of mine working on a country of our choice. We chose to do a joint presentation on Korea. Anyway I wont bore you anymore and cut to the chase. With only a few days left, I was left with the task of finishing them off at home. The night before the assignment was due, I was in a state of panic because I wasn't confident I had done it right. Well we presented our oral which was supposed to be 10 minutes. Ours was a little over at 20 minutes and yet to be completed.

My Protest

Another issue at school lately is between two of my best friends. These two girls are the nicest people, the kind of friends anyone would kill for. Well lately there has been a lot of tension between the two of them, which is very strange because they get along sooooooooo well. Recently I was told that the two of them had had a bit of an arguement (no, the double had wasn't a mistake). I don't know the full story yet, but it has been annoying me so much that I've decided to protest against them fighting. Now at lunch, I don't sit with either of them, unless it's unavoidable. This is going to continue untill they stop fighting and they're friends again, they way everyone likes it.

School Life

School lately has been a bit of a pain, but hey, whats new. At the start of each semester, two people are elected to collect the class role from the office, which is the worst part about school. Well, it just so happens that my best friend in my class and I were chosen to do this awful job. Well we have been doing it for a term now, and we had been talking about quitting and telling the teacher to chose someone else to do it. Well we did this, and of course we still have to do it, but we didn't go down without a fight. We argued so much to the point that my up herself teacher made my friend start crying. See, she had to do this all year last year, so I can only imagine how strongly she must feel about it. Anyway, next story. Another one of my best friends had her braces taken off yesterday. Normally everyone would have been over the moon about it, but the problem was I was the only one she told. I was over the moon about it, the only thing was that I had to be over the moon about when I was alone. But now shes got them off and she looks fantastic!!!

The Bordom Bug

In the last few weeks there has a thing going around which I like to call the bordom bug. Now, this bug is very similar to three-thirty-itis, although the symptoms aren't anywhere near as bad. The main difference is that the bordom bug can strike at any time, while your doing any activity. I think I have come down with this awful bug. Because I am a quiet person, I do a lot of talking over text or on msn. Well, lately I have been having conversations with people who I usually really enjoy talking to, but find myself complaining because I'm bored (yes, I winge a lot too). However, I think the bug has finally passed, although I do occasionly get a mild dose of it. In fact I think I'm suffering a bit now so I think I'll write a bit about about school life.

Change

Change is the the one thing a lot of people look forward to, but also what a lot people dread. I for one cannot decide which side I am on because there a lot of things I would like to change in my life, but also things I want to stay the same for ever. Like my friends, for example, they are the best bunch of people you will ever meet, but you come across the odd person who says "Why do you hang out with them. You can do so much better." I probably could if I wanted to, but this the one thing that should never change in my life. Hopefully your not one of those people who hates their life and wants to change everything about it, I think we should be greatful for what we have got and take advantage of every opportunity we get in life.

Back to School

Hey Guys,
Sorry I haven't written in a while, everything's been so full on since school started. I had a wonderful holiday in New Zealand and I hope your holidays were great as well. This is the first time I've been over seas and it's such a relief to be back. As always going back to to school was terrible, but also a relief because this is the longest I've ever been without my best friends. Friends have got to be the reason a lot of people go to school, I know thats what I think is the best thing about it. Now I think about it, there isn't much else I look forward to at school other than lunch time when I can sit down and have chat with my besties. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this. But school is school and we all have to put up with it, no matter how much we want to avoid it.
